We took a fieldtrip to the Bees' game today. Every year 5th graders are invited to a game by a group that promotes drug, alcohol, and tobacco prevention. We spend the day at the ball field, but the kids don't spend much, if any, time watching the game. Mostly they love to waste their money on junk food and souveniers. We actually make it an assignment that they can tell us the name of the team that the Bees played and the final score. (Iowa Cubs won 3-2) It was a warm, exhausting day, but the kids loved it. I loved that I got to send them to PE when we got back to school!
